So, is AI going to spawn so much of this type of activity that it becomes a joke that no one takes seriously before it becomes a monster? Wishful thinking, I suppose.
John- I just attended an AI event tonight in JH --"AI in Real Life--Possibility, Practice & Pushback". It was so relevant to the experience you shared. Heavy sigh. So many payoffs --and so many penalties to AI.
Anyway, I look forward to reading another one of your great books.
A new one yesterday: "Saw you’re the author of Snares of Prosperity – curious, have you ever considered hosting a podcast?" It turns out that "The Snares of Prosperity" is a sermon written by a different John Clayton... in 1789.

I see it as a lose-lose: either it becomes a monster or its collateral damage causes us to characterize real human interactions as a joke.

John, thanks for holding on to the humanity of it all. AI is too often an abomination of desolation.
Looking forward to picking up a soft cover edition in June!
Ok- I’m going to read your book!
I get SO MANY of those. They come in waves too, then go away, then another wave, then....
Happy to hear Wonderlandscape is getting a soft cover. It's a great book.
